Digitisation of the artistic portfolio

The digitisation of original analog works (such as paintings, objects, drawings, collages, assemblages, etc) is a form of media translation. Please bear in mind that this process involves changes to, for example, the size, materiality, color, dimensions, and feel of the work, and thus also to its artistic expression.

Tips on  digitisation

  • Digitise analogue works with a mobile phone or digital camera against a neutral background
  • The brighter the light when taking the photo, the better the quality of the photos (illuminate evenly and with no shadows)!
  • Observe colour accuracy when photographing!
  • Include brief details of the material and technique for each work/group of works
  • Note the size of the work
  • Photograph sketchbooks page by page or record the leafing through as a video
